Miami-Dade Proclamation

The Minority Business Development Center honored Mr. McBayne for his contributions to the community. The Miami-Dade County Mayor and Commission issued a proclamation honoring the distinguished business efforts of McBayne’s Construction & Renovation, Inc., specializing in general and rehabilitative construction of commercial, industrial and residential projects.
The proclamation recognized the firm for generous donations during the Pride Week observance in Miami, for contributing to the elderly of South Florida by painting and renovating their homes.
The proclamation was presented to Mr. McBayne by Mayor Alex Penelas and the Miami-Dade Commissioners during the commission meeting on July 15, 1999. In 2005, Mr. McBayne became the Platinum Corporate Sponsor of Kisses, Joy, and Smiles which aids abused, neglected and underprivileged children in Charlotte County build self-esteem.
In 2004, Mr. McBayne donated several Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets to needy families in Charlotte County, Florida following the disaster of Hurricane Charley. In 2004, Mr. McBayne worked along with the Myrtle Grove Elementary School in Miami, Florida to rebuild the home of a family whose house was destroyed in a fire. Mr. McBayne donated his time and talent along with that of his staff to make sure this family’s home was rebuilt. In 2003, Mr. McBayne assisted A Place of Refuge Teen Support Ministry with the empowerment of teenagers through the teaching of social and economical skills.
